The U.S. Commerce Department announced $4.57 million in grants Wednesday to help VGTI Florida build a new bio-science facility in Port St. Lucie and bring sewer and water lines to Witham Field in Stuart.
The bulk of the local money, $3.57 million, is going to VGTI Florida, and expected to help create 100 jobs and generate $4.4 million in private investment, according to the Commerce Department release.
In Stuart, $1 million from the Commerce Department will be used for infastructure improvements at the airport.
